Here's How It Works:
Share Your Vision:
Start by filling out the commission form. Please describe your initial idea, desired subject, and preferred size. You can also attach reference photos if you're looking for a completely original piece rather than a variation of an existing painting.
Initial Consultation & Proposal:
I'll email you with any clarifying questions, and then we'll schedule a phone call (or continue to text if that’s your preference) to discuss your vision, preferences, budget, and timeline in more detail.
Following our conversation, I'll provide a detailed proposal confirming the subject matter, agreed-upon size, estimated completion date, and the total cost.
Booking Your Commission:
You'll review the proposal and decide if you'd like to proceed. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book your commission and allow me to begin work
Tonal Underpainting for Approval:
I'll create a tonal underpainting for your review. This monochrome study will give you a clear idea of the composition's placement, tones, values, and my initial brushwork. This is the ideal stage for any major compositional changes.
Color Block-In & Further Input:
Once the underpainting is approved, I'll move to the colour block-in, establishing the major colour shapes. This provides a further opportunity for your input as the painting develops.
Final Approval & Completion:
Upon completion of the painting, I'll send you high-resolution photos for your final approval. Once you are absolutely thrilled with the piece, the remaining 50% balance will be due.
Shipping & Delivery:
After receiving the final payment, I'll carefully package your artwork and arrange for insured shipping or local pickup/delivery in the Vancouver or Whistler, BC area.

Experiencing a painting in person offers a richness that screens can't quite capture. The depth, texture, and layers of paint truly come to life when viewed in real life. I want you to be completely happy with your acquisition. If for any reason you're not satisfied, you may return the painting at no extra cost, and I will cover the return shipping. I’ll refund 50% of the cost of the painting.
