Rufous Hummingbird 5”x7” (Sound on 🎶✨)
Fun Fact: They’re back! The Rufous Hummingbird weighs less than a loonie and yet it has the longest migration of any bird in the world relative to its body size. Every year, these tiny birds travel over 6,000 kilometres from their wintering grounds in Mexico all the way up to British Columbia and even Alaska.
I hope this ink study captures the feisty spirit of these spring visitors.
